At the heart of Hachisu’s business is good design and writing. We have worked with multinational clients including AIA Group, Keppel Corporation’s subsidiaries, and Reader’s Digest Asia, educational institutions such as INSEAD and Ngee Ann Polytechnic, as well as Non-Governmental Organisations like the Lien Foundation and Lien Aid. Before We Forget

bwf-poster-irene

Before We Forget is a youth-led initiative to foster conversations about dementia in Asia.

We spent more than a year producing an hour-long documentary, three public multimedia exhibitions which drew more than 15,000 visitors in September 2011, and a website to collect stories from people who have been affected by dementia.

The Straits Times, Lianhe Zaobao, my paper, and publichouse.sg wrote about Before We Forget. Jeremy also wrote a 12-page story for Reader’s Digest Asia (October 2011 issue).

Like many engineering firms in Singapore, Keppel Integrated Engineering used to have a static website they had to update by hand, which was rarely. Although they had already hired a web programmer, they needed a web consultant for the design process. We delivered a set of comprehensive mockups complete with User Interface transitions and stock photography for the web programmer’s reference. Read more.

npTribune

npt

npTribune, Singapore’s longest running student newspaper, was redesigned and edited to focus on stories about people. As a result, free copies of the paper were picked up by students at half the time for previous issues, and confident advertisers contributed to a 50% increase in ad revenue.

The redesign also received good feedback from editors at Dow Jones Newswires and The Straits Times. Dr Mario García of García Media said it was “attractively designed, with good packaging, catchy headlines, colourful graphics and tons of people coverage.” Lee Xian Jie was Editor-in-Chief for Volume 40 Issue 1 & Issue 2, with Jeremy Boo as Deputy Editor.
